Off-Site Internship Clinics
The off-site clinics are unique among the learning opportunities offered to students during their educational journey, often changing the way students practice and view themselves as healers. They are an opportunity to be of service to underserved communities while developing confidence in working with populations and conditions of special interest. Students build their resumes with on-the-ground experience at well-known hospitals, health centers and other community-based healthcare organizations. These are rotating internship options: not every site is available every semester.
Working at the off-site clinics is quite different from working at the College’s clinic. Some of the medical sites have limited space or support, while others present students with a very large patient load, requiring flexibility, speed, and precision. Students work side by side with other medical practitioners, presenting opportunities to practice inter-professional communication skills and network for the future. All of the off-site clinics have in common a very grateful clientele, eager to learn more about the professions and willing to cooperate with recommendations.
For more information about these off-site clinics, please call our main campus clinic: (212) 982-4600

“I have always been the type of person who just couldn’t find ways of seriously relaxing. I tried yoga, various forms of meditations, hypnotism, [but] acupuncture brings me euphoric, blissful sense of relaxation where I lose track of time, sounds, thoughts in my head, and pain. Acupuncture is a fascinating art and science and my practitioner was a consummate professional and delightful spirit. I’ll pump my fist in the air whenever I learn she’s opened up her own treatment office or center!”
