Congratulations to Pacific College Transitional Doctorate grad Felice Indindoli, DAc, LAc, DiplAc (NCCAOM)! Dr. Indindoli is making history as the first doctor of acupuncture to present at the . Her presentation, “FIRE AND ICE: Acupuncture for the Treatment of Women Veterans With Co-Morbid Pain and Menopause”, will focus on her innovative work in women’s health acupuncture. The burden of menopause symptoms makes pain management even more complex for women veterans, who have greater odds of increased chronic pain, multiple pain diagnoses, and incidences of use of multiple, sometimes dangerously interacting, drugs to treat their pain.
In addition, Dr. Indindoli has been awarded a Pain/Opioid CORE grant from Veterans Affairs to study and improve her women’s health clinic at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital. This groundbreaking project aims to enhance care for peri- and postmenopausal women veterans with chronic pain.
