Hello Pacific Community

It is my hope you all had a fun if not memorable holiday. I am writing a brief message regarding the practical classes presently held on ground. Out of an abundance of caution, Dean Lane sent a message Sunday evening recommending some students quarantine.  However, the good news is this situation was outside of exposure guidelines held by the CDC and followed by Pacific College.

There is concern among campus leadership, questioning the advisability of on-ground classes in the present climate of rising COVID cases. The Deans have spent the day meeting with faculty to determine if classes should move on line this week. Since there has been a variety of responses, please look for an email from your faculty if you are enrolled in any on-ground classes. Each faculty member will send you an email to notify you if your class is going online, canceled for this week and continuing next week, or if the class will continue on ground as scheduled.

While we have experienced a number of exposures, it is reassuring to know that to date we are unaware of anyone becoming infected with the COVID virus on campus. It is our goal to keep our community safe. Please know we are faithfully continuing with all precautions including, PPE, screening and sanitization. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and I thank you for your continued compliance and vigilance.

Please stay safe and take care,
Teri Powers, DAOM, LAc
Campus Director
