Carey Clark, PhD, RN, the chair of the medical cannabis program at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, was extensively cited in an article in the most recent Complete Guide to CBD magazine. The article, “CBD 101: What You Need to Know About Cannabidiol”, discusses everything from buying tips to how to decipher the label.

For example, if you want to make sure what you’re buying is high-quality CBD, make sure to look at the certificate of analysis (COA), which will list the concentration of THC, CBD and any minor cannabinoids such as THCA, as determined by an objective third party such as a laboratory. If it doesn’t have one, it might not be of the best quality.

According to Carey Clark, “you want to ensure that your product is free of mold, fungi, heavy metals, solvents, aflatoxins and pesticide.
